Ingredients

  • Here are the ingredients needed to prepare this festive cocktail:
  • 1 cup cranberry juice: A fruity and tangy base.
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice: For a tropical sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup lemon-lime soda (e.g. Sprite): Adds a refreshing, sparkling touch.
  • 1/4 cup grenadine syrup: Adds a sweet note and creates the layered visual effect.
  • Ice cubes: To keep the drink nice and cold.
  • Whipped Cream: For a creamy, festive topping.
  • Maraschino cherries: Bring a pop of bright color.
  • Fresh mint leaves: For an elegant and aromatic garnish.

Detailed instructions

Step 1: Cool the ingredients

Make sure all your ingredients are very cold before you begin. This will help maintain freshness and prevent the ice from diluting the flavors of the drink too quickly. Refrigerate juices and soda for a few hours before making.

Step 2: Prepare the glass

1. Choose a clear glass to show off the layers and garnishes.

2. Fill the glass with ice cubes to the top.

3. (Optional) Decorate the rim of the glass for a festive touch:

  • Dip the edge in a little grenadine syrup or water.
  • Then brush the edge with granulated sugar to create a glittery effect.

Step 3: Mix the mocktail

1. In a pitcher or directly in the glass, combine:

  • 1 cup cranberry juice
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup lemon-lime soda

2. Stir gently to mix the flavors while maintaining the soda bubbles.

Step 4: Add the grenadine

Slowly pour 1/4 cup of grenadine syrup into the glass. This syrup, denser than other liquids, will sink to the bottom of the glass, creating a layered visual effect reminiscent of holiday colors.

ENJOY!!!
